Let's face it. You have seen every photographer website out there. And yeah, parts of this look like the others too. Pretty pictures. Cute couples. Good lighting. I mean, let's be honest, you DO want to make sure your photographer knows was the fuck they are doing.
But let's talk about you for a second.
Because this is not my day. This is not my wedding.
And you are not looking for just some photographer.
This is a day in your life that will be one of the few that impact you more than any other.
The photos you want should show you exactly what that day looked like.
You do not want to settle for someone who just takes pretty pictures. You are looking for someone that is going to show up, guide you, and give you confidence that your day is being captured exactly how you want to remember it.

Here is a bit more about me and the team. (Yeah, at some point you want to know who you will be hiring. So, let the ego-trip begin.)
I’m Matt, I live in Lawrence, but my studio is in West Bottoms, Kansas City, and the majority of my work takes me in each week, that is until one of my couples says it's time to go to Cali, Vegas, Florida, Italy... wherever they want to go.
I am a fashion and portrait photographer with a heart for weddings. I also shoot senior portrait sessions and boudoir fairly regularly.
So yeah, if you follow me on the socials you might see some work that your mom probably wouldn't like.
Been doing this for a while now. Almost eight years, so I feel like I have earned my stripes. And I have seen a lot of shit. I don't put up with it anymore. That drunk uncle will stand up straight for your family photos. That cousin with her phone out will get it slapped out of her hand. You are hiring me to step in when needed (and back up when it's time for me to shutup).
So, the team! Because Cinder and Ivory isn't just me. While you can absolutely hire just me, even then my incredible assistant, Gaby, will be along for the ride. (Can't do this without her.) But our Content Creator, Olivia, is insanely popular with my couples, and crass, and on top of her shit. No joke. And I have a handful of second photographers that each run their own businesses, so they step in and step back just like I would and understand how I run things on a wedding day. Oh, and my videographer, Sophia? Yeah, fiesty is a word that comes up often. So, basically, beginning to end, we got you. If you want just photos, or want the whole team, or some combination in-between. (But don't sleep on Olivia, seriously.)
So, whether we are hanging out in fancy venues throughout downtown Kansas City and the Crossroads, or headed to Northern Cali, or even overseas, we meet you where you are, as you are.
