I am genuinely glad you found your way here.

I’m Matt, a Kansas City wedding photographer documenting celebrations locally, across the U.S., and abroad. With seven years behind the camera, I’ve always believed wedding photography should feel personal and centered around the people actually living it.

That’s why I built Cinder & Ivory. From destination weddings in Italy and Northern California to elevated venues throughout downtown Kansas City and the Crossroads, every wedding is approached differently because every couple moves through the world differently.

We stay human through all of it. We laugh, tell bad jokes, calm nerves, and create cinematic, editorial imagery without losing the honest heartbeat of the day.

So the memories of that day matter. My goal is to document it in a way that feels honest, intentional, and fully connected to the experience itself, so years from now your photographs still feel alive when you look back at them.
